About the Gold Coast
ASBHM 2025 will be held at the Gold Coast, Queensland. The Gold Coast is a metropolitan region south of Brisbane on Australia’s east coast. It’s famed for its long sandy beaches, surfing spots and elaborate system of inland canals and waterways. It’s also home to theme parks such as Dreamworld, Sea World and Wet’n’Wild. Inland, hiking trails crisscross Lamington National Park’s mountain ridges and valleys, home to rare birds and rainforest. Please see suggestions below for things to do at the ASBHM 2025

Point Danger Lookout: Sitting right on the border of QLD and NSW, Point Danger Lookout is a scenic headland with views of Surfers Paradise and the North Gold Coast. The short walk around the lookout has plaques with information about maritime history. Run or Walk the 7km from Point Danger to Tugun Beach on the beach front path.
For the Daredevils!

Beyond the Beach
Gold Coast Hinterland: Approximately 1 hour from Coolangatta by car, there is a huge amount to see when visiting the Gold Coast Hinterland! This includes UNESCO World Heritage listed Lamington National Park and Springbrook National Park, which are part of the Gondwana Rainforests of Australia, as well as other scenic areas such as Mount Tamborine.
