Information for presenters

Oral Presentations

  • All oral presentations are required to be presented in PowerPoint format.
  • AV equipment (laptop computer and data projector) will be available in each presentation room.
  • Please ensure that your presentation(s) are loaded onto the relevant computer, in the relevant room, BEFORE your allocated session begins. There will be an attendant in all rooms during morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea breaks to assist you in loading your presentation. If your room is unattended when you go to load the presentation, please see someone at the registration desk.
  • Please note, you will NOT be able to run your presentation off your personal computer.
  • Each presenter will be given 13 minutes to deliver their presentation and 5 minutes has been allowed for question time. In fairness to other presenters, this timeframe will be strictly adhered to.
  • Please be in your allocated room at least 10 minutes before the start of your session and introduce yourself to the session chair.

Poster Presentations

  • Each poster has been allocated a poster board space of 2m high x 1m wide (as a guide A0 would fit well within the provided space).
  • You are required to stand beside your poster during the morning tea break on Thursday answer any questions from interested delegates. For delegates presenting multiple posters, we have allocated adjacent poster positions.
  • The poster must be readable from a distance of at least 2 metres. This usually means fonts should be at least 30point. Please ensure that the layout is clear and the font is legible.
  • It is advised that you produce some A4 replicas of your poster to distribute to interested parties. You may also wish to provide some additional information and contact details of the author(s).

Sharing your ASBHM Talk or Poster

We have set up an open repository for conference presentations for the ASBHM2019 conference.

This repository allows speakers to share their presentation slides and posters online. The materials they are can then be cited by others (including people who could not attend the conference). This greatly expands the reach of work presented at the conference and improves the profile of Australasian research in behavioural medicine and health psychology. Access our meeting repository, and upload your slides and posters here: https://osf.io/view/ASBHM2019/
